3D Print Gallery

Because I work so closely with form and volume, many of my sculpts are ready to be 3D printed. A few of my projects, namely "Fox on a Log" and "Horse and Dog", were designed from the start to be printed. Below I've gathered various photos of the prints I've had done.

My biggest obstacle has been my need for high resolution prints. The pieces I've worked on have needed more than a personal printer might be able to offer and so I've been using services like Shapeways or i.Materialise to print nicer quality materials. I also spent longer than intended trying to build a library of tools, paints, and chemicals so that I could clean and work with my prints once I had them. A lot of this knowledge is stored in communities that traditionally work on mini-figures or model trains/planes/automobiles.
